Canelo Alvarez knows Dmitry Bivol well having shared the ring with him not long ago at a higher weight.
Alvarez moved up to face Bivol and lost but it was a huge weight jump for Alvarez.
Now Bivol and Beterbiev duke it out on October 12th in the biggest all-Russian world title fight of all time.
Speaking to the Pound for Pound podcast Canelo said:
“I think if Bivol have the condition to have a very good game plan to go in there in and out, and do all these things, I think he wins. But if not, if he goes in the corner or on the ropes, it will be hard for him because Beterbiev is a very hard fighter.”
A very hard fight to call, all in all.
Most people consider it a genuine 50-50.
What’s more, the card on the night is stacked too with a whole host of quality fights confirmed so far.
As for Alvarez next month September 14th he fights big hitting Edgar Berlanga next month at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
