Turki Alalshikh Reveals Plans On Joshua vs Fury and Usyk vs Fury 3

It is all happening in boxing and the heavyweight division at the moment.

Tyson Fury takes on Oleksandr Usyk next December 21st in a rematch and Anthony Joshua takes on Daniel Dubois on September 21st for the IBF heavyweight title.

Saudi advisor Turki Alalshikh has revealed there is big plans ahead in the division, but, with the caveat, everything can change as is the nature of the sport of professional boxing.

Speaking to Talk Sport he said:

“I am taking the advise from Simon (from Talk Sport) because of that I will change some of my words. I will give you the answer. First of all if you think of me as responsible for Riyadh Season what is better for Riyadh Season to have the world title in Wembley like it is. The winner will get chance to play against the winner of Tyson and Usyk, if they accept. But if you talk with me as Turki as a person what is my opinion, sorry for that, I love Joshua a lot but as a fan I prefer as a fan Tyson vs Usyk undisputed again. I think it is not right (the fight with Dubois) to get the world title from Usyk from the IBF. This is my opinion as a fan. For the business of course it will be a huge fight if Joshua win and (he wins) the third time world title. And the result of Tyson Usyk. It will be a huge fight (Fury vs Joshua). But you don’t know about the future. Imagine if Tyson after the fight with Usyk wants to retire. I can make him the offer but if he refuse, what can I do?”

He added:

“If Usyk wins, still I want to see Joshua vs Tyson if they accept and I will not try to do the third fight before having Tyson and Joshua.”

Very interesting.

It is all to play for in the heavyweight division at the top of the pile and it looks like a mega fight between Fury and Joshua could still indeed happen.
