In some very rare news in boxing this week two young stars in the sport appear, for now at least, to be suing one another.
You don’t really ever see boxers themselves suing one another like this.
But that is what Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia say they are doing — Garcia responding to Haney’s father Bill saying they are suing him after their first fight in April earlier this year saying on X:
“I have no other choice but to sue him.”
“I asked you bill to stop the fight You let the battery continue You wanted this beating to Concur.”
Ultimately, the wisest result from all this for the two fighters will be a rematch as both their stock has gone up.
Both are still very young and both will do even better from the rematch which will be bigger than ever now.
