In some strange news in boxing this week a lawsuit has come about against Ryan Garcia quite some time after the fight.
Usually when someone is aggrieved due to something that goes on in a boxing match/event legal proceedings happen straight away in terms of instigation.
So this is well after the fact earlier this year when Ryan Garcia who beat Devin Haney on points, only for it to be turned to a no contest after tiny trace amounts of a banned substance not enough to give him a huge edge (the amounts were so tiny) — were found:
It is very rare that you see young boxers like this suing one another.
Frankly, it is highly unlikely any competent judge will not be interested in court proceedings from this.
The most lucrative and best result for both fighters will be to get a rematch on in 2025 which will sell more than ever with the whole world interested in seeing the part II.
If the first fight was a big fight the rematch after all this will be off the charts.
Both boxers are bigger than ever and both will have seen their stock go up.
The first fight was all the way back on April 20th of this year at this point.
Garcia is currently on suspension for one year from boxing in the US.
