The sport of boxing continues to see dramatic, rapid changes and reforms worldwide in the East and West the below being the latest in professional boxing.
The Riyadh Season has now teamed up Ben Shalom’s BOXXER which currently holds the biggest outright broadcast deal for the sport in Europe with Sky Sports.
This being the news confirmation:
BOXXER are also starting to show more boxing action soon in America live on NBC Sports as well as showing boxing, live boxing that is, to more non-English speaking countries — that they don’t promote or talk up enough as they should.
Out of anyone, BOXXER has pursued the non-English speaking market in the East more successfully than anyone other than the above in recent years.
If boxing wants to truly think big, and grow more, and be more aggressive, but strategic, more focuses on non-English speaking countries is key not just in Latin America, the Middle East, the far East and Asia but everywhere.
In a time where moves are being made to bring one champion per division again it is concerning that Artur Beterbiev may not be able to rematch Bivol immediately next and face a mandatory that no one outside of the sport of boxing has heard of next up, nor want to see him fight, whereas everyone wants the Bivol rematch.
These aggressive reforms coming to boxing soon will surely allow for the most competitive, biggest fights to happen more consistently — which is the driver for everything ultimately.
Haymon and PBC and others will come on board once Dana White launches a better network combined than HBO and Showtime were for boxing, early next year hopefully, to increase the production and quality of boxing even further.
White can monetize this differently to how promoters generate revenue for their businesses for his new US based American network being tipped for 2025/White’s formal entrance into the sport.
