Netflix have maybe played one of the smartest, biggest moves in all of professional sport history this week.
Sure, they are the biggest streaming company in the world by a company by a country mile and are staging their first ever live sporting event with boxing in Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson next week November 15th in Texas, but it gets even better.
Their shoulder programming and first documentary on the fight has gone to top ten in a cool 80 countries so far per Jake Paul:
“The show is Top 10 in 80 countries…Thank you for watching! #PaulTyson”
That’s huge.
Not just for boxing or professional sport, not just for Netflix, but also for technology for the entire planet as well as live streaming and content which is being trailblazed in new ways with this event.
Genius Netflix.
Truly unbelievable stuff from Netflix and for the fight next week.
