44-Year-Old Guillermo Rigondeaux Returns With 1st Round Knockout

44-Year-Old Guillermo Rigondeaux Returns With 1st Round Knockout

One of the great Cuban fighters of all time and a great pound for pound champion in his time made a heck of a comeback this week.

Guillermo Rigondeaux returned for the first time in well over a year during the week in Miami this week.

Per Permante on X he said the following of the win:

“The 44-year-old former world champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (23-3) made a successful comeback with a first-round KO over Dannis Aguero Arias (20-3) and is the new WBC International Super Bantamweight titleholder in Miami, Florida.”

What a win and an unexpected one.

Showing the Cuban still has plenty left in the tank in boxing for now.
