It wasn’t meant to be for Mike Tyson tonight against Jake Paul but the fact he got in the ring, won a round or two and lasted the distance was something out of a Rocky Balboa movie.
Most thought Tyson would get flattened in one round but not the case.
Tyson landed a number of left hooks in the Netflix fight in Arlington, Texas.
Paul however largely dominated the fight with his jab and landed a lot of punches on Tyson throughout the fight.
The age did play a factor obviously in the end and Paul used it as well as he did the basics of boxing to hit and move to win an easy unanimous points decision in the end.
Kudos to boxing legend Mike Tyson however for going the distance which very few thought he would do.
Even at the end of the fight the crowd chanted Tyson’s name in an event that saw boxing and sport go to new reaches worldwide with an undercard that produced some great fights on it.
