The pound for pound number one best boxer in the world gave his take on the biggest event in boxing of the year below.
Look, in the end, Tyson was too old but he got in there, went the distance, got paid well and goes into the sunset moving on from boxing.
Also the undercard fighters gave amazing fights on the card as well as the sport grew by being such on a huge platform, Netflix would have done well also. Tyson left the ring healthy. No harm done.
Terence Crawford said of the contest itself however on X:
“I love Mike Tyson, but they giving him too much credit. He looked like trash, to train that long and only throw 97 punches the whole fight is crazy. I’m just glad he didn’t get hurt out there.”
Well, boxing did do well as a sport too — as the undercard fights were terrific and the sport grew to new levels this weekend with the platform.
Netflix will have done well and will likely be back in boxing in 2025, a sport that will be going to boom mode even more shortly.
