UFC star and one time professional boxer Conor McGregor’s take on the fight took off online.
His post on X was since deleted but was captured around the world on the X platform.
He said after Paul beat Tyson:
“They are eying Prichard Colon for next opponent.”
Colon being a severely injured boxer who nearly died in the ring some years ago.
The insinuation from McGregor being that Paul fights only old people or crippled individuals who cannot fight as easy targets.
Paul’s run in boxing continues on but once he goes in there with a top level world champion that is where it ends.
You have to give Paul credit though for what he has managed to do in terms of getting real professional boxers opportunities, big ones at that too, and how he managed to get boxing onto Netflix — what will be big soon for boxing in many ways as the sport continues to take off around the world.
