Youtuber, boxer, entertainer and gifted promoter Jake Paul has dropped some truth bombs on X after the Mike Tyson fight.
He might not be everyone’s cup of tea, Jake Paul, but he is improving as a novice prospect professional boxer at this point and is one heck of a promoter.
Okay, the stream on Netflix went down initially, but how many times did that happen on DAZN in the beginning and ESPN plus too when they were in boxing in the beginning?
That horrible stream lag is a good problem as it broke the Netflix servers which is a great problem to have, Netflix are very happy with the event trust us, and the undercard which had amazing fights from Barrios and Taylor, which was worth a month’s Netflix subscription on its own.
Paul revealed over 6.6 million people illegally streamed the fight and said on X:
“More people watched an illegal stream of my fight with Mike Tyson then what the NBA playoffs averaged in 2024 @netflix”
He added a short time ago today on X:
“Me & Mike Tyson broke every viewership record in boxing since the GOAT Muhammad Ali. Wow #PaulTyson”
That is significant.
Netflix will be back in boxing for sure in 2025 and can dip in with better fights — like the undercard last Friday which was tremendous boxing from Barrios and Taylor’s fights in particular.
Again, in an event that was not even pay per view.
We rest our case.
