In big news for Japanese and Asian boxing one of the biggest stars in the sport is now fighting in Japan.
The word has been got out more than ever this year for Japan and Asia as regards the tremendous boxing action there now in the region.
However, this goes further — American boxing star Ryan Garcia will fight Rukiya Anpo who fought Manny Pacquiao earlier this year in Japan saying on X:
“Ight I’ve been quiet for some time but I’ve been cooking on some plans before my actual return to the ring Here is the plan before April Exhibition in December in Japan against the guy who fought aging manny pac and tried to knock him out. And then go after Jake for uncle Mike”
Garcia is currently on suspension from professional boxing in the US but this fight in Japan is understood to be an exhibition and therefore circumvents, gets around and exists outside of the ban.
Hopefully, then, a rematch between Garcia and Devin Haney can happen in 2025 when Garcia is back from suspension.
