Unbeaten light-heavyweight (29-0-24 KO) Benavidez is thought to be one of the most powerful, entertaining blood and guts warriors in the sport at the moment and on the verge of pound for pound top ten status to some.

He takes on undefeated (11-0-9 KO) Cuban southpaw David Morrell in Vegas February 1st 2025 and things got heated at their first presser:

This is not an easy fight for Benavidez, one he could lose, but if he wins impressively and sends out another statement, that fight with Canelo Alvarez is surely something Alvarez will look at in 2025 for boxing fans.
