An all-time great of the sport of boxing has popped into a current all-time great as readies for a fight for the ages.
It was not long ago that Lennox Lewis was undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
Now Oleksandr Usyk of Ukraine is and Lewis popped in to observe him training this week in fight camp for his rematch with Tyson Fury:
Classic.
Greedy belly Usyk appears to finally be losing a bit of weight that was not needed at heavyweight.
Approximately five to ten pounds of excess fat he was carrying that he appears to be turning into muscle now as he settles down into the heavyweight division.
It always takes time for fighters when going from cruiserweight to heavyweight in professional boxing due to the added weight they need to put on, healthily, it takes time.
Muscle weighs more than fat at the end of the day.
Fury on his side is slimming down all the time too and December 21st may very well be one of the best heavyweight title fights of all time.
Usyk knows speed and precision is his friend when striking fast but Fury is no slouch when he is in shape for a big man and will have a different game plan this time, most likely.
Hard fight to call.
Roll on.
