The greatest women’s boxer of all time Claressa Shields is picking a fight with this surely against Jake Paul, the promoter, entertainer and boxer.
Paul recently beat up a 58-year-old Mike Tyson and is always looking for story lines or gimmicks in his big events.
Shields said via TMZ per Boxing Kingdom of him:
“I don’t think Jake Paul has the skills to get inside the ring with me. Or any of the guys at 154 pounds and up who are in the rankings. I’m not gonna lie to you”
Indeed, Shields makes maybe a very solid point there.
Paul is a man and is stronger obviously and hits harder, and is much bigger than Shields, but skill and ability wise Shields can surely box the head off them if she made it a pure boxing match, which is what it would be anyway.
Certainly it would do crazy numbers and be even bigger than the Mike Tyson event and many around the world would likely tune in to see Shields beat him.
The only other event that would be that big for Paul would be a Conor McGregor boxing match at some point.
As for Shields, she recently won the women’s heavyweight title.
