In some great news in the sport of boxing one of its brightest stars is set to shine on in a great fight confirmed.
For a while Shakur Stevenson was weighing up options on promoters and platforms.
He made the right choice in the end, alas. Now it is Floyd Schofield next per Schofield on X:
“We got the contract…done deal”
“Told you all… done deal! Thank you for being a man of your word. Now let’s put on a great fight”
No date or formal announcement from the platforms or promoters yet but Stevenson himself on X confirmed he has a contract for his next fight also:
“I signed a contract today for it but ion be believe everything I see on social media who knows what’s what all I can do is my part and I’ll believe it when I see it”
Schofield is a talented dangerous unbeaten 22-year-old fighter with a record of 18-0-12 KO.
No slouch for Stevenson who will be really tested here and particularly coming off the back of a broken hand too.
