YouTuber, professional boxer and promoter Jake Paul is a figure that splits opinion not only in boxing but in professional sport and entertainment.
What he has been able to do in boxing has been remarkable in some ways, you have to say, in recent years.
That said, many don’t like him and you can see where they are coming from, beating up old legends of boxing and mixed martial arts being top of the list.
That said, the guy is genius promoter and has created huge opportunities for boxers on his card, helped grow boxing to new audiences and his association with Mike Tyson and Netflix recently, has grown his own brand and name massively, as, obviously, anything Tyson tends to touch turns to Gold.
So much so Paul is even getting call outs from some of boxing’s biggest stars like Canelo Alvarez and Gervonta Davis, Paul saying on X to both — firstly to Alvarez:
“Why the **** would I give him the payday? When I beat him it would be the same bull**** and lies…that Canelo was too small and Jake Paul paid him off”
Adding a short time ago on Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis:
“Floyd’s little son calling me out?…come on little tank, you know better. I saw you pretend like you didn’t know who Amanda Serrano & Katie Taylor are…do better & maybe 1 day I give u a platform to shine again after that budget basic press conference you just had”
Like or dislike Paul, he certainly is everywhere at the moment after that Tyson and Netflix event.
It will be interesting to see who he boxes next.
