The first well known boxer Jake Paul promoted when he got started as a pro boxer himself was of course Amanda Serrano.
Serrano is considered one of the best female boxing champions in history.
Speculation has now turned to what is next for both.
Paul and Serrano speaking together recently said:
“This question is for Jake and Amanda. Both of you are signed with the Professional Fighters League, and Don Davis recently tweeted about huge things coming in 2025. I spoke with Don, and he mentioned that if he had to bet, your MMA debuts—or at least yours, Jake—could happen in 2025. Have you given any thought to that? Is there a chance we could see you both competing in MMA next year?
Jake: We want to, but our opponents don’t seem to want it as much. It’s funny—Nate Diaz is actually scared to fight me in MMA. It would be the biggest payday of his career if he fought me in MMA, but he’s hiding behind PFL as an excuse not to do it. I’m ready.
Interviewer: What about you, Amanda?
Amanda: I’m down for it. I’m undefeated in MMA.
Interviewer: Do you know who your opponent might be?
Amanda: Honestly, I don’t know, and I don’t care. That’s up to the team. But if they want me in there, I’ll be ready. From what I know, 2025 is being planned, and I’m excited to see how it unfolds.
Interviewer: Amanda, for now, your focus is likely on the trilogy with Katie Taylor—assuming it makes sense for everyone involved, right?
Amanda: Yes, that’s the priority.
Interviewer: And Jake, you just came off one of the biggest boxing events in history. Nate Diaz has said he’s open to fighting you, but you’ve made it clear your focus is still on boxing.

Jake: Honestly, I want a tougher opponent. I’m not looking for something that’s just for entertainment value—I want a real belt. Chávez Jr. would be easy work, and I want to fight someone who will really challenge me.
Interviewer: Are there any tougher opponents you have in mind?
Jake: There’s a long line of fighters who want to face me. They can take a number and wait their turn. I’m not saying that to trash talk—it’s just the truth. I’m the biggest payday in boxing right now. When you’re the hottest name in the sport, you get to make the calls.

Chavez Jr. for some would be a favorite in that fight although it all depends on how motivated Chavez is or how hard he trains.
As for being the biggest pay day in boxing, surely Canelo Alvarez or Gervonta Davis or even Tyson Fury or Usyk, or Anthony Joshua, as huge star names, would have something to say about that.
Paul does certainly generate a lot of money however and his recent Mike Tyson event was the first time a live sporting event or professional boxing match was ever shown on world number one streaming platform Netflix.
