Former heavyweight champion of the world Lennox Lewis has some feedback on how he would have got on in a fight with Usyk if they had fought.
A hypothetical match up of course.
Lewis thinks he would have beaten him and said per Boxing Kingdom on X via Boxing News:
“Lennox Lewis stated that he believes he would have defeated Oleksandr Usyk, if they fought in the same era. Lennox mentioned that Usyk is susceptible to being hit with an uppercut and that was one of his best punches.”
Indeed.
The uppercut was a ferocious shot from Lewis that knocked out many a good heavyweight prize fighter during his career.
Usyk has Tyson Fury in front of him this weekend in their rematch and no question Lewis will be keeping an eye on the fight and in town for it, hopefully doing some analysis and punditry before hand.
