Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua knows plenty about both fighters being in the mix in the division himself.
Joshua is in the mix for a possible fight with Fury after Usyk beat Fury in their rematch last night in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking on his Instagram stories after the fight Joshua posted the following on Usyk winning the rematch:
A big win for Usyk and Ukraine, no question about it.
Some effort from Usyk over the years to his credit to go from undisputed cruiserweight champion to undisputed heavyweight champion.
A special fighter. Very different. Best heavyweight of this era. Both he and Fury are future all-time greats and Hall of Famers for different reasons.
Usyk because he battered basically everyone — from all countries — in all countries.
Fury dethroned all-time great Vladimir Klitschko on away soil in Germany when no one was coming near him, and came back from 140 lbs. weight gain, alcohol and substance abuse, mental health and depression to come back to become champion and batter a man considered the hardest hitting heavyweight that ever lived, in Deontay Wilder, when he was unbeaten.
