Why Would Usyk Go Back To Cruiserweight After Beating Tyson Fury Twice?

Why Would Usyk Go Back To Cruiserweight After Beating Tyson Fury Twice?

Before the rematch with Fury there was a lot of talk on what next for Ukraine’s Usyk but really the options are plentiful for him and they always were.

Usyk is a great and the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. All roads lead to him.

Before the fight he said he would go back to cruiserweight after the Fury rematch.

But why?

The money is at heavyweight for him and are the more competitive, legacy stamp adding, interesting fights for him.

History shows going from heavyweight from lower weights and then back to the lower weights is not a good idea for an athlete’s body either.

Roy Jones Jr. being that most recent case in point.
