World champion and monster at super-middleweight and light-heavyweight David Benavidez returns soon.
Like everyone he watched Usyk beat Tyson Fury last weekend a second time.
Speaking to Fight Hype Benavidez said of Usyk and more:
“To be honest I have to deal with these monsters in this weight class first. Usyk I don’t think I have enough experience to go up against Usyk I’m just being a hundred per cent honest. Like you say, never say never. Maybe in the future. Maybe I would say in five or six years he will be something like 40 or over. I don’t know. I have tremendous respect for Usyk and he’s the greatest of all time. If I had the opportunity to share the ring with him, I’m not going to say no but it would probably be the hardest fight I’ve had in my whole life (laughs).”
Very candid and sincere there.
Next up he has a monster fight himself on February 25th 2025 against David Morrell — so he is training currently at Christmas right through the season as a lot of professional fighters will be too today and in the days ahead.
