The WBC boss took to the X app to erupt on some terrible judging this Christmas season in a WBC title fight where he also shared the official scorecards.
The fight in question was in Thailand a short time ago today.
Panya Pradabsri of Thailand won the WBC World Light-Flyweight title over Venezuelan Carlos Canizales but Sulaiman said on X:
“After a sensational close fight Pradabsri is awarded a majority decision in Thailand. Cañizales is a warrior who fought his heart out . I am disappointed at the performance of the WBC judges in specific rounds and I will order an immediate review by the corresponding committee. WBC ring officials are accountable for their performance”
Good to see him calling out poor judging when it goes wrong.
Judges’ have a tough job it must be noted at the same time.
It is easy to call a fight on the couch but when you are there live on fight night as a judge when the action is live, hard punches are flying, sweat and blood is flowing and crowds as shouting — things are different.
