Moses Itauma is an exciting young fighter in the heavyweight division at the moment who has taken boxing by storm this year.
Unbeaten and very young, many think the knockout artist from the UK may get close to beat Mike Tyson’s youngest heavyweight in champion in history record.
Speaking to Talk Sport UK analyst Duke McKenzie was cautious but complimentary at the same time:
“He’s blowing everybody out of the water Simon. Like I said before it’s going to take some holding. Because if you don’t hold him back because his bubble could get quiet easily. Because he could lose. He can get beat by a seasoned old wildly veteran that can make him look ordinary. That can happen quite easily. However, it doesn’t matter who they put him in with right now. The kid is so calm. He has a calm assurance about him. He goes about his work.”
Feet on the ground-type-advise above and basic fundamental mistakes he makes — must be ironed out — also noted.
That said, he still had good things to say and some sense above, too.
Quality sparring in America or Europe would surely do him the world of good too — as McKenzie pointed out later in the segment above.
Good fighter this man and has all the ability in the world.
Time will tell how the story unfolds, the future looks quite bright though.
