Speaking to IFL TV YouTube Hearn said:
“He has given up 50 pounds in that fight (in the Fury rematch). 50 pounds. You’re talking about a featherweight fighting a light-heavyweight in terms of weight disparity what he’s done. It’s phenomenal what he’s done. He’s a phenomenal fighter. He’s (Usyk) an all-time great.”
Indeed, the sheer weight disadvantage Usyk was makes for a stark reminder of the David vs Goliath type achievement it was.
What a year 2025 promises to be for Usyk and the heavyweight division as well.
Fury vs Joshua would be a massive fight if they can make it.
