Teddy Atlas Reacts To Conor McGregor vs Logan Paul $250 Million Boxing Match Reports and The Country Of India Looking To Get Into Boxing As Governments Worldwide Look To Get Into Boxing

Some huge money has been proposed to bring about a Conor McGregor vs Logan Paul boxing match as the nation of India looks to get into boxing.

Boxing is a hot sport right now and has been for a while, and will be much bigger this year too in a boom time soon for the sport in the time ahead.

So much so countries and governments all around the world look to get into boxing, particularly in the East, as the evil garbage West glory days come to an end in 2025 in some places in the West.

Conor McGregor is looking at a $250 million pay day to box Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition next up in a fight worth $500 million for the two fighters. Teddy Atlas on his podcast said of the fight:

“Reports have emerged that Logan Paul will face Conor McGregor in a boxing match set for 2025 in India. Though unconfirmed, the fight is rumored to involve a staggering $250 million. If true, this would be a monumental event, and it signifies India’s entry into the high-stakes sports scene, following in Saudi Arabia’s footsteps.

India seems to be adopting a similar strategy to Saudi Arabia, which has been using massive investments to bring global sports to its soil. This strategy includes hosting events in boxing, tennis, golf, and Formula 1 to promote tourism and reposition themselves as global sports hubs. Reports suggest that this fight will be hosted by India’s royal Obame family at the historic 33,000-seat “One Hiti W Kii” stadium in Mai. The event is also part of India’s “Visit India” tourism campaign, much like Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season, which has hosted numerous high-profile events.

This announcement comes in the wake of controversy surrounding recent high-profile exhibition fights, including the much-criticized Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou bout. Many fans questioned its legitimacy, and similar skepticism may arise here. However, early reactions suggest a different sentiment: both McGregor and Paul are expected to genuinely compete.

The financial aspect is eye-popping. A $500 million event budget demonstrates the scale and ambition of India’s entry into the sports entertainment market. For comparison, Saudi Arabia has made significant investments in the past year, but this marks a new contender in the space.”

He added:

“If this fight happens, it may signal a shift for Conor McGregor away from serious MMA competition toward high-profile exhibition matches. While some fans may view this as the end of his career as a legitimate fighter, his accomplishments shouldn’t be forgotten. McGregor was a phenomenal UFC champion, known for his precision, counterpunching, and ability to control range.

McGregor’s impact on MMA is comparable to Muhammad Ali’s influence on boxing. Ali not only elevated paydays in the sport but also broke boundaries by participating in crossover events, like his infamous fight with Japanese wrestler Antonio Inoki. Similarly, McGregor’s ability to draw massive audiences and redefine the sport’s promotional landscape cements his legacy.

The Logan Paul vs. Conor McGregor fight would undoubtedly be one of the biggest spectacles in recent sports history. While questions about legitimacy and competitiveness will linger, the sheer scale and ambition of this event are undeniable. As India steps onto the global sports stage, this match could mark the beginning of a new era in international sporting entertainment.”

Say what you want about the fight, it is a crazy amount of big money coming into the sport of boxing again from new countries and new governments again.

Only a great thing for the sport as the sport is set to go into a boom time.
