Boxing star Teofimo Lopez is not very happy with his promoter Top Rank headed by Bob Arum at the moment and you can see why by this.
Hall of Fame promoter and boxing legend Arum for some reason keeps trying to offer Lopez a fight against a name those outside of boxing have never heard of.
“Teofimo Lopez turned down Top Rank’s final offer, “way above his contract minimum” according to what I was told, before a deadline late last night for a WBO 140-pound title fight vs. Subriel Matias. Lopez & Matias would’ve fought in an ESPN PPV main event March 15th in Las Vegas.”
With respect, Subriel Matias is a tiny fight and he is dead right to keep turning down those offers. No use to him.
Lopez needs only the big fights and big names in the sport now after teaming up with Canelo trainer Eddy Reynoso recently.
Lopez has star power in boxing and star ability.
