Unfortunately the big title fight in Japan which was postponed from Christmas eve to this month will need to be moved again.
Again due to injury.
This time to Goodman as Ring Magazine on X points out:
“Naoya Inoue vs Sam Goodman is off again and won’t take place on Jan 24th as Goodman has suffered a recurrence of his eye injury.”
That is unfortunate but injuries do happen in professional boxing.
A new date likely will be confirmed very shortly when the extent of the injury is revealed.
If it were a very serious injury, taking a long time to recover from, maybe Inoue can have the option to then shelve the fight and look for a new opponent.
