Devin Haney is back in the mix for big fights once again this year in 2025 as it is set for a bumper year in boxing.
A big fight that is being mentioned of course if the rematch with Ryan Garcia but another one is against Teofimo Lopez.
Speaking to Michelle Joy Phelps Haney said:
“Absolutely (me against Lopez can happen). I think that’s a huge fight for boxing. I think that we could. I think that fight is possible for sure.”
He later added on Gervonta Davis talking about retiring young:
“I don’t believe it. I think that there is so much more on the table but if he does, that’s his business. I don’t care.”
There you have it.
Sky is the limit for Haney this year and good to see he and other fighters getting such a platform this weekend in London at the Ring Magazine awards.
At such an elaborate awards ceremony with grand music, classical and Jazz, red carpets and massive grand décor all around.
Well deserved to the fighters who at the end of the day are made from a different type of gravy as regards other professional sports.
Professional fighters are unique and this weekend’s award ceremony was apt for the sport’s return to the grand stage — the pinnacle of all of worldwide sport this year and beyond.
