Devin Haney is due to return to boxing in 2025 and there are a few options and fights in the mix for him.
Promoter Eddie Hearn has worked with Haney before and a few things are up in the air at the moment.
Speaking to the Stomping Ground Hearn said:
“As for AJ, if you can’t get him in the ring, no one can. I spoke with Bill Haney yesterday; I don’t know if you saw his comments. He wasn’t happy when I mentioned that Devin’s asking price for his return seemed too high. He said I don’t know anything about his business. Well, I know a lot about his business—I’ve taught him plenty about the boxing industry and paid his son a huge amount of money. Bill was standing just a yard from me, and I like the family. But business always has to make sense for everyone involved. I’m sure we’ll work together again in the future.”
Good for Haney, surely, the above.
It all depends on what fight is next and who he takes on.
Boxing is going to grow as a sport and a star of the future, and of the present, like Haney, must be in big fights.
