While some still think Joshua vs Fury is not a big fight in America, it is still a relatively big fight internationally in the sport.
Whether it happens in 2025 or not remains to be seen.
Speaking to the Stomping Ground at the 2024 Ring Awards Lewis said on the fight amongst other things:
“Taking it back to Riyadh before the end of last year—what did you think of the second fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk?
I thought it was a good fight—a great fight. It was one of those fights where you’re waiting for something big to happen, but it didn’t quite live up to what everyone expected. Still, it was a great fight.
What did you make of Daniel (Dubois) bursting into the ring afterward—breaking and entering, so to speak?
Yeah, that was a good move by him. If he wants a fight with Usyk, that’s exactly what he needs to do.
Fury vs. Joshua—if we get it in 2025, what happens?
Fireworks. Fireworks, baby.”
It is now or never, 2025 that is, if Fury vs Joshua is to happen.
There will maybe never be that chance to make it again as much as it is now.
