Both fighters fought in 2024 and since then the bad blood has gone to new levels in genuine hatred for one another.
Real needle between the two and after their fight was changed to a no contest in 2024, there is no respect for one another at all.
Speaking at the 2024 Ring Magazine awards Garcia said:
“Yeah I think so (there is bad blood). After the lawsuit and everything that went down, to me it’s a little personal so hopefully we keep our distance.”
Haney mentioned:
“100 per cent. 100 per cent it is personal because at the end of the day he cheated and he got caught. I won’t be happy until that fight is done and we got the rematch.”
Hopefully the bad blood is sorted out with real blood in a rematch in the boxing ring this year.
That is what boxing fans want to see.
A huge fight if it can be made later this year.
