Eddie Hearn Reacts To Tyson Fury Retiring

Anthony Joshua promoter Eddie Hearn has given his response to the news Tyson Fury retired from boxing today.

Hearn, like many, was taken back by the news today.

Per Boxing King Media Hearn said:

“I think its a natural play. I kind of felt he would retire even before an AJ fight or just because he’s doing it naturally. I don’t know him well enough to comment but if that is his lot, if he hasn’t got the heart for it anymore — it is a wise thing to do because it is a dangerous sport. My gut feeling is he will be back and if that is the end much respect to him.”

Some have suggested this maybe a negotiating tactic for a bigger pay day for an Anthony Joshua fight.

Time will tell.
