It takes a legend surely to note another legend’s birthday, in the context of boxing, Mike Tyson has done this here.
His old mentor Cus D’Amato and the icon Muhammad Ali were respectfully admirable of one another’s gifts during their times.
Tyson wished both of them a happy birthday on X yesterday which they shared:
“Today marks the anniversary of two greats bdays. Cus D’Amato and Muhammad Ali. Truly blessed to have known and loved them both”
Both shared January 17th as a birthday.
Gone but not forgotten of course.
