Terence Crawford trainer Bomac responds below to ongoing media reports suggesting the Crawford vs Canelo fight may happen.
It is thought the super fight is under discussion at the moment by both Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford.
Speaking to IFL TV Crawford’s trainer Bomac said:
“Without a doubt (Bud can beat Canelo). Remember, Bud called Canelo out. That means he sees something he can exploit. If he beats Canelo, it’s undeniable—he’ll be the greatest of all time.”
Greatest of all-time puts Crawford even past Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson, so a big call.
That said, if does it, he will go down as one of the very best at least and it is hard to see, say, if he were to box on some more and retire undefeated, who was better than him in this era, at the very least.
