All time great Floyd Mayweather and boxing promoter Eddie Hearn have cleared the air in a meeting with one of Mayweather’s friends.
Previously the two did not always have good things to say about one another and there was some tension between their companies.
Speaking together via DAZN Mayweather joked with Hearn:
“As you know, I don’t have social media on my phone but they showed me something Eddie was like Floyd Mayweather ain’t got no money that’s why he is doing exhibitions. Nah. Eddie don’t believe that (laughs).”
The two men appear to be cordial and amicable now.
Hopefully more big fights can be made in the future now.
Richard Schaefer was recently appointed CEO of Mayweather Promotions — surely Schaefer will come all guns blazing in 2025 in a great time for the sport to bring through the next generation of star boxers and make even more great fights.
