In terms of what is on the horizon for former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, his promoter has spoken on it.
Joshua lost his IBF heavyweight title last year in a brutal knockout loss to Daniel Dubois and has not fought yet since.
Speaking to IFL TV Hearn said on Joshua:
“He’s fighting in May. Maybe twice this year. That’s it. We’ll see what happens in Riyadh in a few weeks. If Fury doesn’t come out of retirement, we can’t fight him. We’d love to fight the winner of Dubois vs. Parker. If we can’t get that, it has to be a top opponent—Martin Bakole, the Zhang-Hrgovic winner, Deontay Wilder if he wins. But first, back in camp. Looking forward to a big summer fight.”
In recent weeks Hearn has also spoken that a Deontay Wilder fight is possible for Joshua.
Moreover, Tyson Fury is definitely retired from boxing now and the Wilder fight is still the biggest money fight for Joshua and Hearn, not just in America either, worldwide.
The fight is still a huge fight between two big hitters and big names at heavyweight at the end of the day.
