David Benavidez Stands Up To Saul Canelo Alvarez

David Benavidez Stands Up To Saul Canelo Alvarez

Canelo is the main man in boxing as the world’s biggest boxing star but David Benavidez has made an interesting move.

Benavidez has been chasing the Canelo fight for years which Canelo really has to do before retiring for the sake of Alvarez’s legacy, if in fact Benavidez remains undefeated.

Turki Alalshikh and others can make it happen in the future at light-heavyweight or a catchweight between 168 lbs. or 175 lbs.

Per Boxing Kingdom on X Benavidez will not go to super-middleweight for the fight in the future:

“David Benavidez has DECLINED moving back down to 168 lbs, if Canelo Alvarez offers him a fight at the weight.”

Interesting.

Canelo faces William Scull next up at 168lbs. but if he wins it calls for a Benavidez or Terence Crawford fight will be beckoning once more.
