Who David Benavidez is fighting tonight is not to be underestimated according to a leading boxing expert.
Former world champion and now analyst Tim Bradley has a keen eye on tonight.
Speaking to Fight Hype Bradley advised:
“It’s a 50-50 matchup; it’s the kind of fight everybody talks about, but we don’t have many like it here in America. We do have one, though. This fight, I’m not looking at the fact that one guy has had 11 fights. I’m not looking at that at all. Sometimes, we can get caught up with that. This guy is highly skilled. When I did my research on Morell, I came across some interesting things. I didn’t know he had 130 amateur fights and only five losses. I didn’t know he was a junior world champion at 175 pounds. So, he’s a natural 175 fighting at 168 now, back at his comfortable weight. He has skills, punching power. Most Cubans, right? They’re very elusive with great footwork, great positioning, good counter-punchers. He has those abilities, but he’s a serious puncher.”

Many outside of boxing don’t know Morrell but he will be looking to shock the world tonight — and Benavidez knows it.
