David Benavidez brought fire tonight against David Morrell, and visa versa, in one hell of a fight.
Lots of power but accuracy, precision and speed by Benavidez shown too, as well as some good defense which is improving all the time with advise from the likes of Andre Ward — this is the key thing Benavidez must work on ahead of any super fights in the future — while not changing himself or his fight style of course.
Speaking after the fight Benavidez said:
“I’m just looking forward to being the best version of myself every fight. Yeah, he knows my punching power is real. Every time I get in there with a fighter that is exactly how they leave, just like that.”
He added:
“Now my hands are good (not injured) you see the power of David Benavidez is real.”
Great fighter Benavidez and he may prove to be a future great if he gets and wins the big fights soon.
