The super fight is on this September between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford, a legend weighs-in.
That is the one and only Roy Jones Jr of course.
Speaking to Ring Magazine Jones said:
“Well, the weight won’t be the factor; the factor will be how Canelo chooses to make the fight. If Canelo comes out and does what Canelo should do, Canelo wins the fight. If Canelo comes out and does what he shouldn’t do, Crawford wins. To play with Crawford, what are Crawford’s keys to victory when you are fighting someone like Canelo, who, albeit maybe not in height but in stature, is a much bigger man?”
He added:
“Control the center of the ring. If Crawford is allowed to control the center, he’ll win.”
What Crawford is attempting to do is so crazy, in terms of stepping up in that weight with no rehydration clause in the contract, it almost seems super human and impossible.
If he were to win he would go down for some maybe as one of the greatest boxers that ever lived on this planet.
