Some grim news has reared its head in the sport of boxing as one of its brave participants has now lost the battle for his life.
A young professional from Galway in the nation of Ireland John Cooney recently suffered a brain injury after a loss in a bout in Belfast, Ireland.
Efforts were made to bring Cooney back in hospital and a go fund me was set up for him and his family but sadly he has now passed.
