Boxing doesn’t have an official CEO but now has an unofficial one in many ways.
Teddy Atlas the renowned trainer and commentator believes that man to be Turki Alalshikh.
Speaking on his podcast Atlas noted:
“So Turki Alalshikh comes along in the last year, a little more than a year now, and he starts giving us the fights that we didn’t think we could have, that we wanted but couldn’t have, that were kept from us. Now he has a passion for the sport, a passion for the fighters, from everything we can see. Knock him, hate him, love him, applaud him, whatever—a lot of people are applauding him for the same reason I’m saying. He’s given us fights that we needed, that the sport needed, that the fans wanted, and that the sport really needed.”
He who makes the best fights wins.
It is all about the fights at the end of the day.
It always has been and always will be.
