Joseph Parker challenges for the IBF heavyweight championship of the world on Saturday night against champion Daniel Dubois.
By all accounts Parker will come in possibly at a career heaviest for the fight this weekend, something his trainer and former world champion Andy Lee has obviously supervised.
Speaking to IFL TV Parker said of Andy Lee and game plans:
“It’s going to be a fantastic fight. We have prepared the best we can, in top shape, and just got to get this game plan. Andy’s (Lee) going to whisper it to me later on. I’m going to work on it to perfection and then come out and just enjoy doing my work. You just got to enjoy, you know, love this energy.”
It remains to be seen what coming in heavy against such a young, fast, big hitting dangerous champion like Dubois, who only recently knocked out Anthony Joshua, will do for Parker.
Lee and Parker appear to get on well, maybe the above will prove a master stroke by Parker and Lee.
Time will tell.
Dubois is up for the fight as well.
Things may get very explosive in this one.
Don’t blink when it comes to heavyweight boxing at the end of the day.
