The show must go on as they say and instead this weekend we will see Joseph Parker fight Martin Bakole at heavyweight.
Instead of challenging IBF champion Daniel Dubois who was forced to pullout of the fight due to illness.
Speaking to BoxNation Hall of Famer Frank Warren said:
“Yeah, I was just going to address that because, you know, people online—for anyone saying that, I can’t even be bothered listening to them because they’re morons, excuse my French. That’s how it is. Anybody who thinks a fighter has gone through all that—spent all that money on a camp, training partners, sparring partners, doing all that work, going away—for nothing? You don’t fight, you don’t get paid. So stop trolling and get a life. Live in the real world. Everything I heard from Daniel in camp—he was on fire. He was—I fancied him big-time for the fight. It was an excellent fight, and Joe’s in great condition. It had all the hallmarks of being a really exciting fight.”
Warren promotes Dubois and obviously is rightly aggrieved at some idiots having a go at a person who puts his life on the line every time he goes to work.
Boxing like other forms of professional fighting whether UFC, military, armed forces and so on, is one of the few games you can be legally killed in at the end of the day.
Alas, we still have a great heavyweight fight tomorrow to look forward to.
The show goes on.
