Dmitry Bivol fights Artur Beterbiev in boxing in a rematch tonight after a close points loss in 2024.
The fight once more will be for the undisputed light-heavyweight championship of the world.
Speaking to Queensberry ahead of the fight Bivol accessed fight 1:
“Mine. My fault, yeah (the loss). Because I didn’t do everything I could, everything I was able to do. I could’ve been better. I know many fighters, after losing their first fight, blame this guy, that guy, my trainer, my camp, my hand, etc. But I had everything I needed to win that fight, and I didn’t use it. It’s easier to blame somebody, you know? Then, after blaming someone, you give yourself excuses so you don’t have to work on being a better version of yourself—you just work on blaming someone else. That’s not right. It won’t make you better. You have to dig inside yourself. That’s how I think—to make yourself better.”
A good attitude.
He comes across as a very methodical, prepared fighter who looks objectively at fights and opponents, adaptability is key but he is going in there with a monster tonight in Beterbiev who will be much stronger than he was in the first fight.
