Claressa Shields obviously did not fail a PED test after her last fight against Danielle Perkins.
However, some erroneous claims suggested she did after becoming undisputed women’s heavyweight champion.
This has now been cleared up per Boxing Kingdom on X and per Keith Idec of Ring Magazine — as Shields was vindicated from the garbage claims.
Boxing Kingdom further notes the arena was found to have a large amount of smoke during the event which tainted the fighters results slightly after the fight.
That clears that up, Shields reacted on X here.
Any stupid Athletic Commission who was considering suspending Shields’s license or other organizations thinking of doing the same with belts — need to issue Shields with an immediate apology.
Swift ‘quick trial as they say in China’ justice prevailed on this in the end.
