Artur Beterbiev Breaks His Silence On Losing To Dmitry Bivol

Artur Beterbiev has finally spoken following the first loss of his professional career that came this weekend.

In his rematch with Dmitry Bivol for the undisputed light-heavyweight championship that saw Bivol win a close majority points decision.

A short time ago Beterbiev said on his Instagram — Russian to English translation via Google translate:

“It was a good fight against a worthy opponent. Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way. But sport is sport. We will definitely come back even stronger.

God’s plans are always better than ours. Alhamdulillah1 for everything.”

Wise, humble words from a great fighter and champion who will be back.

A class act Beterbiev, a very good sportsman and a good fighter.

Hopefully they can get the trilogy match on to settle it once and for all — best of three fights.
