Dmitry Bivol landed some heavy punches on Artur Beterbiev who barely batted an eye lid at any of them.
Bivol won my majority decision to avenge his defeat to Beterbiev from last year.
Speaking to Radio Rahim of Seconds Out Bivol said of the rematch and Beterbiev not being bothered by his best punches he could throw:
“Maybe I took more risks, yeah. Some of the punches—he hit me, and I hit him too—I landed more. You saw me catch Beterbiev flush a couple of times with perfect shots. Did I feel like I hurt him at any point? I felt I landed cleanly, but I didn’t sense he was groggy or anything. I didn’t feel that, no.”
Always a measured analysis from Bivol after his fights, a keen student of the sweet science as well as an active top tier professional world champion.
A potent mix that will steer him well in the years ahead.
