Lamont Roach might not be known to many outside of boxing but he is a dangerous fighter in a great frame of mind at the moment.
He takes on boxing star Gervonta ‘Tank Davis in Brooklyn, New York this weekend.
Speaking to Boxing News Roach said of his game plan being simple:
“Punch him in the face, punch him in the body, keep punching him in the face—that’s how it’s going to stop. If he’s not going to be able to stop what’s coming to him—excuse my language—he ain’t going to be able to stop this.”
Later adding:
“I’m not too worried about staying away from, you know, a power punch or whatever the case may be. It’s boxing—we’re going to get punched. I’ve got a good enough chin to withstand anything for 12 rounds. The more you worry about it, the more likely it might happen.”
A quietly confident and highly motivated fighter.
No slouch who Davis will surely not be taking lightly.
